Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort
Staying at a Walt Disney Resort is something I recommend everyone try at least once. There are so many perks that come along with your stay, but is it worth it? Let’s find out below.
Transportation
Disney Resorts offer many benefits you would not be able to access from anywhere else. For example, onsite resorts offer many forms of transportation that take you to and from the parks, other resorts, and Disney Springs like:
Water Taxis

Disney Buses

Monorails

Skyliner Gondolas *New Addition*

Some resorts are close enough to have walking trails to the theme parks!
Not only are you able to avoid hectic parking lots, but you can skip out on paying the parking fees at the theme parks which are $25. The hassle of loading the kids into the car and driving in Orlando traffic would be nonexistent to you, making it a smooth and timely trip to the park.
In Park Perks
Staying at the resorts also entitles you to a 60-day window to book FastPasses, as everyone else has the standard 30-days. This extra time allows you to reserve FastPasses for those hard-to-get rides like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, etc.

Another benefit of staying at a Disney resort is Extra Magic Hours. Extra Magic Hours is an incentive offered by the resorts which allows guests to enter the park before everyone else or stay later than everyone else, depending on the schedule.
