Theme Parks While Fluffy

Everyone should get the chance to experience famous attractions. Sadly, that is not the reality we face. As readers of my blog, I would like to prepare you for possible disappointment. This isn’t to scare you out of your trip, but a warning so you do not waste valuable vacation time.

Universal Studios/Island Of Adventures Orlando

If you’re a follower of what’s new at Universal Studios’ Island of Adventure, you probably know about Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

What most thought would be a totally exhilarating ride, turned out to be a major let down to plus sized guests. After waiting in line for over six hours, guests were turned away because they were unable to fit ride vehicles.

Although disappointing, it does not stop here. The following are other rides that tend to cause plus sized guests issues:

Universal Studios

• Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
• Revenge of the Mummy
• Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
• Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

Island Of Adventure

• The Incredible Hulk Coaster
• Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls
• Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
• Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

Although some of these rides have “modified” seating for bigger guests, they are not very accommodating.

What Should You Do?

I suggest you try the test seats located outside of these attractions.

This can still be very time consuming due to guests using them as resting spots, sometimes refusing to move.

I would also recommend you skip the listed rides. There are many rides and attractions that allow you to enjoy them with ease.

To offer a point of reference, I wear a size 22 and carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs. The only ride mentioned above I am able to get on is Revenge of The Mummy and that it’s a pretty tight fit.

The rides listed below are very spacious and have bout the same intensity as the rides that exclude plus sized guests.

• Fast & Furious Supercharged
• Men in Black Alien Attack
• The Simpsons Ride
• E.T. Adventure

Island of Adventure

• Skull Island: Reign of Kong
• The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
• Jurassic Park River Adventure
• Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges
